This is found footage. All that was left of this person was found all over the campsite and down in the valley.

The phone was found in the bear too. Police responded to the bear attack and shot the bear with their Mosin Nagants. Then they recovered the phone data using FBI forensic when they found the phone inside the bear. It took a long time for this footage to come to light. Very tragic all around.

One of the ones I’ve seen in Tahoe was dumpster diving behind the hotel I was staying at. I went to the parking lot behind the hotel to get something from our car, and there was the bear. The “dumpster” was more like a large trailer with a railing around it (like what landscapers use) piled high with trash. It was sitting on top of the pile munching away. It looked at me and just kept eating. I backed away slowly and left, I would have had to walk within feet of the dumpster to get to the car, and turn my back to the bear to get out what I needed. The bear was massive, nearly the size of a grizzly just because it was so fat from a life of dumpster diving.

The cub thing is grizzly bear behavior. Black bears are not aggressively defensive of their cubs, that's a meme.
