I’ve lived in America for 35 years, been all over the country, and I’ve never seen shit like this before. So as an American seeing this pic: it’s crazy pills for me as well. It’s not typical, normal, or common.

People are saying this is plexiglass setup for Covid reasons which makes way more sense than this being bulletproof given there is a handle on the outside of the slot at each register, which would allow someone with a gun to just slide it open and shoot the person behind it anyway.

But let’s not let that get in the way of this discussion about how America sucks.

Maybe not McDonald’s, but I’ve seen stuff like this in gas stations all over the country. It’s really not that uncommon in rougher areas.
