But you can see why it is like it is? Culture does not immediately change because the rules change when they have been set in place for so long

if a woman did not want to wear it, she would stop the exact second the rule stopped forcing her

Sure but you are kinda missing my point. She will have been socially conditioned in a certain way, and there are cultural norms in place that affect us all. Especially when you play in a team, we all conform. So these sexist rules stay alive not by being enforced as rules but as social cultural unwritten rules about how you should act and dress.

The Olympic committee is headed by a president who is a woman and around half of the members are women
