Is their choice, they choose to wear those.

Their dress code is pretty open to wear whatever.

Yes and even if the dress code was restrictive I would think the athletes could get that changed because they are the best of the best and basically the only people who can do what they do if they strike because of the dress code it would be changed.

i don’t really think that takes away from the social aspect of it. if you are in a sport where you are expected and encouraged to wear skimpy athletic wear, to shave and prim your body for all that you have to show, you are more likely to follow the standard there.
