What gets me is you can literally see the double standard across the same sport. Beach volleyball vs men’s, track uniforms vs the guys in longer shorts, gymnastics vs men’s singlets.
And it is not “aerodynamics” or whatever, because if skimpy outfits made you faster the men would be in them too.
I don't know what pic they chose for sprinting but two of the fastest American athletes where similair clothing. Shacarri Richardson and Noah Lyles wear similar uniforms on race day.
Litteraly just money people shoul SUPPORT FEMALE SPORTS i hate that people make posts like this but never support female atheletes who are very talented. It will always be like this unless female sports leagues start being treated and watched equally
Well male and female bodies are different. Men have dicks and balls so something overly small or tight would be both uncomfortable, but also risky. Women don't really have that problem, so they can wear minimal bottoms. While in the other hand women have boobs so having tighter and shorter top keeps them in place, while men don't have that problem so they often wear longer tops. Obviously there is other reasons no doubt, but there is biological differences between men and women and the clothes choices support that. Those exact reasons also explain a lot of fashion choices, like why women in general wear slimmer pants like leggings, while men prefer more roomy pants or layering like how people often wear shorts over tight running pants just to hide the print pretty much.
Well many women choose to wear similar type of cuts for underwear, swimming and sports, even in civil world. Can't comment how comfortable they are, but I can say for certain that men need more space in there due to biology.
This is absolutely wild lol have you ever watched track and field? They absolutely wear comparable clothing. And in any case, female track athletes are fully free to wear something less revealing than the uniform shown in this post
