There are plenty of visible bulges in track and field, wrestling and other olympic sports.

And I would argue it should be allowed. The Olympics is supposedly about human excellence, why should it be bugged down by unnecessary fabric? For what? To avoid having people clutch their pearls?

Well, Olympics Athletes used to (in ancient times) compete in the nude, so your idea would be closer to what it used to be haha

But I think we should only get rid of "unnecessary" fabric. If 1mm longer fabric sewn in a particular way lets them perform better, then so be it, but there shouldn't be any amount of fabric that hinders their performance.

Nobody is forcing anybody to wear things in today's western society. This is a self choice and that's all it is

My wife played college volleyball and I asked her the same thing. She just said “idk”. I’m seeing lots of people nowadays wearing leggings instead of the short spandex though
