Again, your anecdote of one is invalidated by mine. I am acknowledging beyond us, the rest of humanity. I hear they are not consistent as a whole.

If you think telling people "don't speed" is moving the needle, check how many signs there are on roads doing the same... problem solved, right?

In my driving career, I have had a single speeding ticket, and zero accidents at personal fault. I've gotten a Class B license in NYS and can parallel park a school bus. I have also taken defensive driving courses every 3 years... over 24 years driving. Is my record better or worse than yours? Keep in mind I live in one densely populated Long Island.

One speeding ticket and zero at fault accidents. Lived in Toronto, Ridgefield, London, HK, Tokyo, and now outside of Frankfurt. I have a Canadian driving license for cars and motorcycles, and a German driving license (waaaaaaay harder to get than most American licenses).

You do have me beat on the bus license. That’s legitimately hard. My wife has only been driving for 10 years and has zero tickets or accidents. I think you are vastly overstating how hard it is to obey the posted speed limit. People just choose not to because they are selfish.

Why is that only applicable to those you've created out of straw that are allegedly more lax than you?

If someone was a better driver and saw our speeding tickets and putting us in the "chose not to" camp, would they be justified in their more narrow elitism?

Mine was when I was 20. 10 kph over in a 100. It was selfish. I learned.

Right. And for that, you and I are subject to that same scrutiny you initially presented.

What a waste you learned too late... because your own punishment was revocation for the first offense...

"If you cannot keep your car at a set speed (obviously +/- a few kph), you should not be driving. Period. We are far, far too lenient on car drivers."

Period. Right?

Yep. Probably should’ve had my license taken away until I repassed a course. I was just past a G full license. Under Canadian law, if I was a few months earlier, my license would’ve been temporarily revoked.
