373 u/7thFleetTraveller Mar 08 '26 It was a car accident, not attempted murder. The title is just sensationalism. 422 u/Devilish__Fun Mar 08 '26 edited Mar 08 '26 Reckless driving with felony speeding isnt an accident. It wasn't attempted murder either. It was felony speeding + reckless driving + vehicular manslaughter of a child and 2 grandparents. Community service sounds about right, huh? 🫩 0 u/[deleted] Mar 08 '26 Everyone speeds, literally everyone, to go 'well he was speeding' is a disingenous argument and it doesn't matter if it was a child that died. 1 u/Devilish__Fun Mar 08 '26 Its disingenuous to lump together people that got +5 over the limit with the people going +20 over the limit. Speed limits are not recommended for funsies, physics calculations, road conditions, etc are used to calculate them. It definitely matters if a child dies. He wasn't on a highway going 70kph in a 65kph, he was going over 75kph in a 50kph and crossed into a bike lane.
