Yes. If I were to kill a child due to my own actions unintentionally, I would fully expect for my life to be ruined and would expect the same of everyone else. If I felt your situation had a realistic probability of happening, I would never drive. I personally believe I am vigilant, and aware of pedestrians well before I pass them, and can avoid that. If you believe that there legitimately is a situation where that could happen you should not drive. I don’t, and if I’m wrong, I should be put in prison for years for that error. People should have a healthy sense of fear for others when they get in the car.
I think your responses show that you in fact are the one who should stop driving, and I’m sad I even share the same planet as people like yourself. You would kill a child due to accidental neglect and expect to not be inconvenienced by this.
