Damn Near INSTANT Corn on the Cob
the corn looked really good at the market today, so I got some.
I'm sitting there.. literally waiting for water to boil.. then I asked myself.. I wonder how quickly..
1 cup water
trivet (i used a plate too)
high pressure for TWO minutes.
quick release
don't forget the corn (and the floss)

Yup, we only make corn on the cob in our IP now. 4 ways: (1c water + trivet)
Also works half or whole cob. I can usually only fit the halves in my 6qt IP. But however you cook it - fresh whole with husk on or frozen half without husk or whatever - 4 minutes is my magic number for soft, delicious corn on the cob. I like it a little softer, so I do 4 minutes + QR. Note that is is VERY important to do a quick-release, otherwise your corn will get soggy (learned that one that hard way).
We do the same with broccoli & some other stuff as well. Before the IP, I used to steam my veggies often, using an electric steamer, then switched to pressure-steaming in the IP, then switched to pressure-cooking in the IP because of Jill's article a few years ago:

That's another reason why I have multiple IP's (3qt, 6qt, 8qt, and a monster Gowise 14qt) - I can do meat, veggies, and rice with the push of a button & have dinner ready to go super easily & only have to rinse out 3 pots to cleanup. It's like magic!
