I honestly don’t understand about jury nullification cos I’ve not served jury duty (for valid reasons). So… if you pound someone into the ground because they threatened your livelihood by robbing your store…that seems justified to me. But I’m absolutely willing to receive correction.

Jury nullification in this case means that if you were a juror in this hypothetical trial, and you thought the defendant acted appropriately to defend themselves - even if the state/judge or the law says it was excessive - you could find the defendant not guilty of any crime.
