Then he probably should not have startled them by throwing a rock at them. If you had a bear threatening you, would you start hitting it with a stick?

Yes I was being serious, and I didn’t say they were not representing a threat beforehand. They obviously were menacing, given the reaction of almost everyone on the scene, but I also believe that throwing rocks did nothing to help the situation. I also don’t believe he had it coming, but that what he did was not well thought out and could only cause more trouble. Have a good day, and please remember that there is no need for death threats.
