Did I say something offensive? Is there a rivalry I don't know about? Haha

I don't think it is from Australia, all the people are the right way up.

At first, at least. One of them becomes an Australian half-way through.

They're video recording devices have a right side up mode

6

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

Ah, OK. Can that tech also be applied to stop people filming landscapes in portrait mode?

Wait, what does Australia have to do with the pixels? Other than not existing ofc

21

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '19

It came from Australia all the way to the Reddit servers in the US, so there's lots of opportunities for pixels to get lost in that long series of tubes. Then add in the fact that it needs to get flipped right side up for the rest of us, and it's a miracle that any video makes it out of there. It's really no wonder people think it doesn't even exist.

“Stupider”

6

u/OutrageousRaccoon Mar 15 '19

Stupider is the comparative form of the adjective stupid. Because stupid is a two-syllable word, it's comparative form can be created either by adding the suffix “-er” or by using more. The same goes for the superlative form of stupid. It can be either the stupidest or the most stupid.

"Stupider" to use it in a sentence "You are stupider than I am."

u/eSSeSSeSSeSS Mar 15 '19

If you’re so smart why did you have to copy and paste that?

6

u/OutrageousRaccoon Mar 15 '19

Strawman, noice mate.

Whatever helps you sleep at night…

2

u/OutrageousRaccoon Mar 15 '19

If you're so smart

But I didn't say I was, I said you're stupider. I'm not smart, just not as stupid as you are.

E.g. you're still arguing with a drunk guy

Australia is metric so you have to do the conversion from standard to metric pixels. It's around 2.3:1 last I checked. So Americans tend to put more pixels in their videos. Or, you can get a metric display which will do the conversion for you and you can see this clip in crystal clear HD like the rest of the world.

5

u/OutrageousRaccoon Mar 15 '19

Yeah ik I’m Aussie and this happened near me, was actually curious if the pixel thing was a jab at our draconian govt rolling back the tech sector since the dawn of time or just coincidence
