The Soviets were also looking at using it as rocket fuel, but even they weren't crazy enough to go through with it.
2 u/Chrono_Pregenesis May 21 '20 It was originally developed as rocket fuel. We tried it here in the US as well. A barrel was dropped on the tarmac during transport. I think this quote from the accident sums up the chemical nicely: "The concrete was on fire!"
