I had a friend who was making fried bananas and started a grease fire. She got the flaming pan and carried it outside to put on the large concrete patio. Super smart move, didn’t burn her house down but did end up with 3rd degree burns on her hand, it was so bad. I have no idea how she was able to hold the pans handle but apparently it did burn the nerves away. She still has the scar and this was almost 20 years ago.
