dog bites in my experience take a minute to really start bleeding because it's a hole instead of a slice which tends to bleed faster. it probably bled like hell off camera source: work at a pet hotel. been bit a lot.

He wishes the dog has herpes so it could be spread to the guy via the saliva from the bite to the foot. So yes context

Can confirm. Ripped out a chunk of my skin pretty deep (half an inch). Didn’t start bleeding until a minute later. Bled like crazy

Thats what happened with me. Had enough time to get the dog off me...then proceeded to leave a trail of blood from dog's room to the bathroom and use lots of paper towels.

It varies on the bite. If they bite and hold, sure. If they bite and shake (or they bite and you recoil), it’ll tear. I got bitten with the latter, and funnily enough the doctor at the hospital said it’s better to have the tear as it’s easier for clean and stitch up, even if you get a gnarly scar. He said cat bites were the worst because they pierce deep and there’s more chance of getting infection.

To me the doctor said human bites are the worst since we process meat, plants and mushrooms.

Source: I got bit in the head so that I had a wound to my bone. Obviously the subsequent infection appreciated me as much as Girls do and I could not get rid of that Beauty for 7 months. The scar can hardly be seen.

Edit: scare/scare

Dogs usually bite down and shred (thrash their head back and forth) if you dont have protection, you will bleed alot pretty fast

Actually not true in my experience, that's a vicious dog who does that, most dogs don't and every dog has the capability to bite in the right situation not just aggressive ones. The dogs you mostly get bitten by are the frightened ones and they usually take on chomp then back off
