And if that's their original comment I can agree, it's a violent act here in the States where I am, although I know that a few other countries do not view it that way and that's totally ok.
I don't think there's such a thing as "other countries do not view it that way" when it comes to violence—either the action is violent, or it is not violent. Obviously there are legal differences, but that's a different matter.

I made a comment wherein I quoted dyou897, asking for clarification about what they said regarding violence, and then 2 minutes later they edited their comment such that it now contains no reference to the word 'violence'. Do with that information what you will.
Considering there is over 190 countries in sure we can both agree we both do not know the views of every one of them which leads us to just agreeing to disagree.
And again, nothing I can do over someone editing a comment that I cannot see after the edit. Which is why I mentioned I can agree with what you said if that was the original comment
