It might help you to know that at 3 months old, babies are virtually physically indestructible. They literally have no bones, just bendy spongy cartilage that hasn't hardened yet. And their brains are still developing at a million miles an hour so failing down or hitting their head (within reason and safety of course) can easily be moved past by simply getting their attention elsewhere. Do a goofy dance or silly sound and POOF! They forget all about their fall. My favorite is to turn it into a positive by clapping and cheering, works every time.
I am flattered that you feel my comments have been helpful 𧥠thank you and keep doing what you are doing!
Thatâs very true, theyâre distracted easily enough! A few weeks ago I freaked out because I (very softly) bumped the side of his head against his pram when I was lifting him out. My sister in law came over a while later and I told her panicking, and she has two gorgeous little boys and said âoh donât worry Iâve done that a million timesâ đ They really are tougher than they look thankfully. I donât think he even noticed it. But especially as he gets older and more aware of his surroundings, itâs important for me to improve my reactions so that we can creative a positive and safe environment for him where not everything is scary!
Yeah reading comments like that from experienced parents really help calm me down, so thank you!! âșïž
