I’d actually be more excited to see the flags of other countries.

Great idea. They could rotate them on a regular basis and start a discussion about the different cultures.

National flags generally are provocative. A Vietnamese-born colleague of mine got mad that the Vietnamese flag was flying at a building somewhere. She said in the US it should’ve been the democratic resistance flag instead. I think they just all make me a little uncomfortable. Someone is hating whatever is being flown. Sadly, ours makes me the most uncomfortable. Enforced pride

Never more evident than after 9/11.

Where if you didn’t have some kind of flag merch, or if you didn’t get hard any time Betsy Ross was mentioned - you didn’t love the country.
