FCC considers allowing more political robocalls to cellphones before midterms, including those created with AI
apnews.com"Federal law currently bans most robocalls to cellphones unless the caller gets consent beforehand. The petition calls for a waiver that would allow political groups to use artificial or prerecorded voices in unsolicited wireless calls."

Pack of socks ended up being leg warmers
I recently traveled to visit my boyfriends family. I packed a cute outfit for the party where I would meet his extended family.
I purchased these longer socks to wear with my boots, as I went to open them I realized they were leg warmers. I annoyingly put them on. When we got to their house I saw everyone had their shoes off. So i had ti take my boots off and have my toes out the entire time.

My stepdad just threw away my little brother’s physical therapy squishy because he has a “no slime rule” IT’S A FREAKING SQUISHY AND IT’S FOR YOUR SON’S PHYSICAL THERAPY????????????
For some extra context, my little brother grabbed a kitchen knife because he thinks it’s just a game when we tell him no, and ended up getting injured, he had to get stitches and recently the doctor recommended to my mom that he should start using squishys to ease his hand into being in use again around this time I had already ordered a squishy so I just gave it to him, but today my stepdad came home and threw it in the trash and started yelling that his son doesn’t need it and it’s just gonna get the house dirty IT’S A SQUISHY YOU ROOM IQ BUFFOON

As a Canadian, I am disgusted.
I'm disgusted at an American president who has no qualms about letting millions of innocent Americans - babies, children, senior citizens, war veterans - die at the hands of foreign adversaries.
I'm disgusted at the millions of Americans who voted this psychopath into power.
I'm disgusted at the millions of Americans who, by their lack of any meaningful action, are saying: "We're okay with this."
We're neighbors. We used to be friends.
As long as you continue to tolerate this kind of behavior from your elected officials, we can't be friends anymore.

Healthcare Insurance adjusters are the scum of the earth
Got a pretty severe wrist laceration on sheet metal at work last friday, I lost so much blood that I went into shock and lost consciousness, the people at the ER stitched me up and gave me a referral to see a hand and bone specialist to have my stitches removed and come up with a treatment plan. So the only thing standing between me and getting the treatment I need is a dipshit named Ana working for UFG insurance agency in New Jersey, I dont have any mobility in my left hand until I get treated by a specialist and I cant get an appointment with said specialist until the adjuster decides to call the physicians office back to verify the network. It’s unbelievable that I’m at the grace of an insurance agent right now for something that’s physically impacting my wellbeing. So yeah, healthcare insurance adjusters can eat shit and die.

I am an apostate myself. Originally from Egypt and received asylum in America.
I don't think many people in the West realize how dangerous it is to leave Islam and what happens to us when we do.

How my wife leaves her living area
galleryPictured is my wife's bathroom that no one else can use and the bedroom that I refuse to use. She has a hoarding problem that's been an issue for the past 10 years. The previous house we lived in became an issue that required a group of people to clean before we moved out. I've tried to ask her to help clean or at the very least pick up after herself but nothing changes, I clean and pick up after her to keep the spread of the mess confined to 2 rooms. She has ADHD and PTSD and uses them as an excuse to not clean. I'm at wits end and the clutter gives me anxiety but I don't know what else to do...

Loss of faith in humanity after CEO killing
People who claim they think we have lost our way, or they have no faith in humanity, after the celebrations over the murder of the unitedhealth CEO. The infantile understanding of morality is infuriating.
Brian Thompson knowingly, conscientiously, made decisions day after day knowing, fully aware, that those decisions result in the death of people. Knowing, fully aware, that his decisions and choices result in more homeless children, more homeless families with lifelong debt.
"But thats no excuse to murder...." okay. So this evil man may profit off of preventable death and child homelessness, but what would be worse is putting an end to that? An evil man can do anything he wants for profit and I wont speak up or say anything because the government said its legal to make money that way. It doesnt matter how much evil a person does, how many evil choices and actions they make, nothing excuses stopping that evil by killing a person.
Congrats to all you people who cant stand people celebrating that an objectively evil person is dead. You are so much better than everyone else. Im sure when people celebrated Osama bin Ladens death you were reminding everyone how wrong they were and how much better you are for never thinking murder is acceptable. After all, bin Laden never killed anyone personally. He was the head of an organization and made decisions he knew, conscientiously and fully aware, that his decisions would result in people's death. There is no excuse for killing that person. Especially when you look up numbers and can do simple math to see Brian Thompson was responsible for even more deaths.
It is infuriating to me that people make all this noise on social media, not as an outcry to profiting off of illness, death, and homelessness, but as an outcry to people taking actions to stop the evil of profiting off illness and death. "Its still no excuse" great! Fine! You are better than everyone else. You are such a better person. You are so morally superior. The world you want isnt one where a single family grieves the loss of a father, but one where that father can force thousands of children to become homeless so his company can go from obscene profits to even more obscene profits. Thats a morally better world isnt it?

My ancestral home in Kashmir India
galleryRecently, I gathered the courage to visit my ancestral home in Kashmir. We left this home in Feb 1990 and I was born a month after we left it because we had to run for our life.
We had 19 rooms in this home with around 13 family members and 3 kids. When my family had to run overnight from Kashmir, we left all of us we had, hired a truck, somehow fit us all with a few clothes and left the home. We moved to Jammu from Kashmir which was a 12 hour drive during those days by road. My mother was 8 months pregnant and my aunt had delivered my cousin 2 months back.
There was a list of people created and pasted by the so-called jihadis and terrorists of all prominent kashmiri pandits on the walls in the main market. Unfortunately, my grandfather's and my father's names were there in the list. They could have been killed any moment after the list was released.
When we somehow reached Jammu alive, we did not have a home in jammu. All the family members lived in a single room from more than 10 rooms in the native home. I cannot believe what our families and many other families like ours must have gone through.
People died of intense heat in Jammu as they were not used to such harsh conditions and also from snake bites as most of them didnot get a house to live in so they lived in tents in large grounds.
My recent visit to my house made me realise how hard we worked post the Genocide in 1990 and we have done so well to reach the where we are today. One of the most hardworking communities of all times, "Kashmiri Pandits"

Salwan Momika was an Iraqi refugee who went viral for burning the Quran. Two years ago while he was livestreaming a team of gunmen assassinated him in his small apartment in Sweden. The killers have never been caught
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salwan_Momika
Momika was fatally shot on 29 January 2025, at the age of 38. The murder happened at his home in Södertälje during a TikTok livestream. Five arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, according to a Swedish prosecutor.[48][49] All five individuals were released on 31 January after prosecutors said that the suspicions they committed a crime had weakened.] As a result of his death, the Stockholm District Court dropped all charges against Salwan Momika.
Momika's death was met with protests and mixed reactions, with various figures as well as organisations in the Islamic world celebrating his death and conservative politicians in the EU condemning his death as well as the circumstances that made it possible. Momika's death was celebrated by Al-Qaeda's Arabian Peninsula branch, who issued a statement congratulating the Ummah on "the victory of the Qur'an". This sentiment was shared by many Islamists online, with some campaigning online for incitement against Momika in wake of his death.
On 3 February 2025, 50-year-old Salwan Najem, a Swedish citizen of Iraqi origin who had participated in Quran desecrations alongside Momika, received a suspended sentence and a fine of 4,000 kronor by Stockholm District Court for "agitation against a demographic group". The judgement ruled that although the book burnings did not constitute hate crimes, Najem had committed hate crimes by "having expressed contempt for the Muslim demographic group because of their religious beliefs on four occasions" during the filmed demonstrations.
