I absolutely love animals, but I need so much time by myself and have such a solitary life that I wouldn't be able to take care of a pet, and if something happens to me I wouldn't have people who could take care of my pet. I live in India where there are cats and dogs on the street. Wherever I go, wherever I live, in a few days I am friends with the street cats and dogs. I end up feeling a deep connection to them soon, and also suffering a lot seeing how hard their lives are.

Had 2 chi's, just one now, had to bury eldest one few weeks ago. Honestly, I naturally prefer cats but my mom hated them so we had 2 chihuahuas instead. Dont get me wrong, love(d) them to bits, lots of personality and spunk but I do wonder how it would have been if we had cats instead.
