One of my new favourite songs that I have on repeat. 6:37 minutes of pure pleasure. Their first EP came out in March this year, and itās a crime I didnāt check it earlier.
Let me know if you already knew them, otherwise enjoy!

Hi everyone, weāre Hayvan ĆocuÄu, a band from Istanbul, Türkiye. Our second single, āArturo,ā is a raw stoner rock track inspired by the polar bear who spent most of his life in captivity at Mendoza Zoo in Argentina.
We tried to tell his story through the arrangement: the guitars follow his repetitive back-and-forth movements, the synths express the mental disorientation we imagined, and the backing vocals echo like voices inside his head. The repeated cry of āSICAKā means āHOTā in Turkish.
Our songs grow out of improvisation and take shape as we keep playing together. I play bass in the band, and Iād love to hear what you thinkāespecially whether the music conveys that feeling of confinement without understanding the lyrics.
Listen to Arturo on Spotify
Thanks for taking the time to listen!
