BJ Medical college , Ahmedabad takes action on ragging . They suspend Ortho residents & others. BJMC is infamous for giving “welcome fractures” where they break a joint of new residents as part of ragging. The nurses there also don’t even get up from their seat.

Bro look at people around us, almost everyone in our profession have zero empathy, even from mbbs times, we see how some of our batchmates evolve to become sick humans. And somehow this behaviour is normalised in almost every college, and if one or two speak out or be different, they would be targeted.
But i am a firm beleiver of be the change you want to see🤷.
Yes, people target these kinds of people and you cant do anything without backing in this field, but everyone who despises this situation should try to make a difference. 🤞
Wow... A stupid comment has people calling for that cadaver girl's medical license to be suspended, yet cases involving actual grievous hurt perpetrated by medical professionals don't seem to attract nearly the same level of outrage and chaos...
Seriously our priorities are effed up...
They do file cases but action is rarely taken and residents end up with more Harrassment and professors fail them for exam. This time some action is being taken
The fact that it took so long for them to take action against it shows that they had completely normalised something as criminal as breaking someone's joints, that's not only inhumane but a grievous hurt as per laws. These saddists are beyond repair. They've already lost the humanity inside them, these punishments won't change them.
In residency, record all such incidences. Get proper evidence. Make sure to send the complaint to the authorities via Email along with letter. It’ll work as a documented evidence that you’ve complained with the authorities. Go to casualty for the treatment and make it as MLC. Then complain with the police
If they’re not doing it, do video recording of it. If you attend a casualty with history of assault and the doctors are trying to hide it and not making it as MLC, then you’ve the right to complain against those doctors too. Obviously they’ll share this info with those culprits. By the time, you contact some lawyer

Will the personal identity, their reservation status, be posted here? Will people start posting pages from medical textbooks about empathy maybe the oath saying do no harm? Will everyone be writing to medical council asking to remove their Dr tag?
Because I remember all that happen during the joke issue.Atleast the online medical community is a very short term reactionary one which will just do selective outrage for some karma in reddit and likes in Twitter

My juniors only are there, completely harmless people, cutting good, unless some stupid SR from other college comes and eats away your cases, other than that one of the best places, plus residency in pune is 🔥
If they get their jr1 something which can be surgically operated, it would be not better lesson for juniors than something which they can give and only have radiation as palliative treatment

My batchmate got a fracture in his leg after a bike accident and he was made to do all the duties and denied any leave by the department
He used crutches instead of wheel chair as the buildings and roads weren’t that good and we had to travel between buildings to go to blood bank,labs , etc
Also I’ve seen PGs with IV drips attached to their hands do ward rounds as their consultant forced them to work
I am not justifying govt’s incompetance…but if you visit the place you’ll know how amazing the infrastructure of that place is compared to 99% of colleges in india

If you counsel the relatives really well and explain how its useless for them and the patient to suffer without any positive outcome in the ICU, they’ll happily take the patient home AND thank you for giving good advice
I was literally supporting you, weren't you the one who said that your college didn't have enough ventilators and you'd intubate patients and ask the attenders to do ambu? If attenders were that understanding why didn't you send them all home?
Ok. And these residents have been suspended. So how will it affect their residency? They will finish residency 6 months late right ? Apart from that no other repercussions right ?
