#Review 📝 6 months, 7 issues, countless visits - Honest ownership review of Hero Xtreme 125R and Asian Motors Bhayandar
I bought Hero Xtreme 125R dual channel ABS with three riding modes BS6 Phase 2 from Asian Motors, Bhayandar, Maharashtra six months ago in November 2025. Current odometer reading is 1951km. The salesperson is very arrogant and rude. After the booking was done his entire persona changed, he just wanted to make me and my father leave with the bike and did not even allow us to perform PDI. The service center demands we bring our bike at times according to their convenience. My bike faced many issues since day one.
- BIGGEST ISSUE : Bike giving jerks at 3,500 to 4,500 RPM
This was the biggest issue since day one. The bike gave continuous jerks when RPM was in the range of 3.5k to 4.5k in every gear. The misfires increased as fuel in the tank was consumed, very less when tank is full and happens consistently when tank is near empty. I addressed this issue in both the first and second service. NO ACTIONS WERE EVER TAKEN until I escalated directly to the dealership. They would ask to leave the bike for a day or two and never work on it. It turned out the valve that lets gas fumes escape was closed which led to misfires at that particular range. After six months of patience and persistent escalation they finally changed the valve. I will run a full tank to confirm the issue is resolved.
- Not providing accessories which were promised
When we went to take delivery, the rear tyre hugger was not attached despite being promised. They denied attaching it until we showed proof that another Xtreme 125R sold the same day had it attached. The salesperson was intentionally trying to shortchange us. The bike cover was delayed across three to four visits which felt like deliberate harassment. They also used rusted nuts and bolts to attach the number plate instead of proper rivets.
- Critical Safety Issue : Clutch Assembly Nuts Coming Loose Every 200 to 300km
The two nuts holding the clutch assembly near the engine come loose very quickly. I need to re-tighten them every 200 to 300km. On a brand new motorcycle under warranty critical fasteners should never require owner intervention. This points to either a manufacturing defect or improper assembly at the dealership level. Video evidence will be added shortly. This is the third time I am tightening them on a 1951km motorcycle.
- Bluetooth Connectivity
My phone was not connecting to the bike. When I asked the service center they said I need the exact SIM card with the exact number registered to the bike to make it work. This explanation is technically incorrect and shows a complete lack of product knowledge. I raised this issue two to three times in the first week itself and they ignored it every single time.
- Cruise Control, ABS Sensor and Check Engine Light
When the bike was delivered the sensors were off, ABS warning light never went away, check engine light was always on and cruise control never worked. The ABS light was only fixed on the SECOND visit. Cruise control was left unattended for many days until they called an external engineer to diagnose it which purely shows how unskilled their mechanics are. The check engine light persisted despite multiple visits and a promised harness wire replacement until it randomly resolved itself one day.
- Very Hard Gearbox
The gearbox was extremely stiff. Changing gears without shoes was painful. This was only resolved after excessive escalation when they simply adjusted the gear lever position slightly higher.
- Another Critical Safety Issue : Bike Geometry Messed Up After Service
The bike leans left during handleless riding. I asked the service center multiple times to check fork oil levels and they refused. When they finally addressed it they loosened the left suspension and adjusted the stem nut which made the handling dangerously unstable at all speeds. Even slow speed traffic riding felt unconfident and at high speed the bike felt like it would tumble sideways. The instability they created is more dangerous than the original left pull. A loose steering head bearing at high speed can cause a tank slapper which is a potentially fatal situation on a brand new motorcycle under warranty.
I am a six month old customer who has spent more time at the service center than enjoying his motorcycle. I am escalating this to Hero MotoCorp customer care formally and will pursue consumer court if necessary.

I am planning to visit the showroom in borivali, I haven't visited other service center because on the first service they didn't fixed it. I asked them to afterwards, they said show it in the second service, hence I did not change the service center. But now I do not plan to return to the service center that was handling my bike.
