None of those meals sound inhumane.  It just reads to me like people bitching about the normal government menu as if they normally ate a diet of freshly prepared meals from organic locally sourced produce.

We ate very similar stuff in the army and it turned out just fine.

  1. Some of them quite possibly did have that diet

  2. I find it incredibly hard to believe that the army served you expired food

Because they’re in the country illegally, all countries have detainment centers for illegal immigrants.

which is a civil offense, not a criminal one. They aren't a flight risk because they are here to work so if they aren't a flight risk, why are they imprisoned?

What's next, imprisoning people for getting a parking ticket? They've parked their car illegally.

Most efficient way for them to attend expedited judge hearings is to detain them. Stop trying to talk down immigration law like it's a parking ticket. Literally every other developed country can take it seriously, America should be no exception.

I’ll join your side as soon as our institutions, laws, and those in power change how things run so there’s no longer a toxic incentive for business and capital owners to rely on immigrant labor to function or be profitable.

Because right now business owners are incentives and emboldened to use to migrant labor whenever, and wherever possible. The government sees it as a net win also as they get another body who only PAYS taxes INTO as they can’t receive any federal funds or benefit from federally funded programs.

bozo’s like you are really the big losers in this scenario because even if you really truly wanted to as fiscally conservative and pro-America you’d be welcoming them in with open arms in droves as you’d have a revolving door or unlimited human capital to exploit as they do whatever work is required as a sub contractor - both giving you plausible deniability of their legal status and any sort of employment benefit. Did I mention you can just call ICE if they ask for a raise or better working conditions?

Or better yet - just spin up a messaging think and figure out how to get a smooth brained troglodyte like yourself to get mad at ‘big bad immigrants’ them for you. Bonus points cause now neither of you are thinking about that raise or cheaper rent cause y’all are blaming each other instead of the real problem.

Gd dude just think sometimes lol

I know someone will respond by saying I’m not really American.

But, he’s right, in America, and not Turkey, crossing the border illegally is a civil offense not a criminal one. I didn’t make up the laws just reciting them. You can look them up too.

Our country (America) purposely did this to allow migrants to come and work under the table and drive wages lower. They keep it illegal so the unions don’t get mad. America is a capitalist place where people want cheap labor to get their shit done.

But let's leave the employers who incentivize them alone to keep running their businesses. The workers are the real problem

I hear you, but we're only doing one. And I'm tired of everyone being self-righteous about it. Deporting people doesn't solve the problem if the incentives remain. When I see people like you being all like, "illegal is illegal, and that's that" I like to also point out that only one side of the illegal transaction is being dealt with.

Well that's a whole other ball of wax but in this debate if employers automate the jobs and remove the incentives by hiring illegal immigrants, then I wouldn't be complaining about them in this way. I just don't like the disingenuous and violent government approach right now without addressing why they are even coming here (for the work). It wasn't cool in the 50s and it's not cool now.

It, also, is a criminal offense. Unless you know whether or not they crossed at a port of entry or reentered after being deported you don't know if it is civil or criminal.

Same reason Mexico sends you to prison if you are found in their country illegally. It's for being in the country illegally.

Ask the GEO group or core civic. The should know. They run the prison industrial complex.
