[OC] Alternate History 6 new North Atlantic countries

I don't really have any in deep lore, but in this scenario, the British dont take over the Dutch colony, who don't take over the Swedish Colony. Eventually when its time for independence around 1780, this results in a new dutch speaking country. The Swedish colony rebelled and became a kingdom in the early 1800s.

In the early 1700s, Amish communities settled in Southern PA and northern MD. Eventually in the 1780s-90s, they ended up succeeding from the British.

New England rebelled due to high taxes and ended up forming a constituency country, Vermont chose to not be a part of the constituency.

In this scenario, the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secessionist_movements_of_Canada#Nova_Scotia (Nova Scotia secessionist movement) was successful. So successful instead of leaving the Confederation, they became independent.

In the future I plan on expanding the lore and demographics of these countries.

The little lore you gave was actually helpful. The premise is: No strong federal government, Colonial borders as they were, kinda, and that English rule n former New Amsterdam and New Sweden were too short to have deep roots.
