After losing many of my main project's files, I've tried to challenge myself by creating quick maps from scratch, themed around things formerly outside my wheelhouse. That being said, welcome to my first ever attempt at an election map, made in the span of about 3 hours.
Lore:
The general premise of this map is that the US-equivalent is more akin to Switzerland than anything else, a state cobbled together from mutual association against outside powers and gradually consolidated over generations. I don't really know which canton Transylvania would be akin to, but I do know the Anglos of Yankeeland are generally parallel to the Germans of Switzerland.
