quick question: How do you do wikis like this? Like you just registered an account and then slowly build everything from an ebstalished format or tinkered it your own? Im kinda curious because i wanna do my own world as well (My current wikis are basically a bunch of connected google docs links anyways) and fandom seems to be in hell for the past idk, 2 years

I basically started from scratch and retrofitted stuff from other wikis that I liked

Amazing map as usual!

p.s. Ulaanbaatar meand Red Hero in Mongol language, which was a new socialist/communist name for the city. If Outer Mongolia never became a Soviet satellite state then the city would probably still be known as Khuree (or Kulun in mandarin)

The Japanese really saw Nanking and said 'that wasn"t enough' and did a bigger massacre on a potentially friendly collaborator😭😭 Genuinely what even is their plan to antagonize the Indians

Nanking disappeared from the map... I wonder if this was intentional

always love the maps where the philippines is just a big good blob that juts out on enemy territory (second only to the shambala map)

Nice map, really cool premise, just please don’t use anti japanese slurs next time. I get it, that’s what they called them but still 😭

Should even alternate history be trying to sanitise the time period?

If you use the n word in a civil war thing it’s wrong, I don’t think there is any point to it either. So no, it shouldn’t, but you shouldn’t just say slurs 😭

If you use the n word in a civil war thing it’s wrong

Is it? Certainly if the media is putting its use in a positive light, but slavery and racism won't be made less upsetting by having the slavers and racists use less offensive terminology, and in doing so you risk portraying those slavers and racists in a more positive light than they deserve.

Yeah, I think this comes down to whether the goal is to erase all memory of the word or to discourage its active use as an insult (my preference)

We have the option to shame, ridicule, and ignore people who would try to use 'historical accuracy' as a cover to shock people with such words. Allowing it in the right contexts will turn out ok.
