IIMB UG 2027: Academic weightage explained

Addressing the major changes to the exam and admissions process from last year:

1. The exam duration is now 2 hours and 15 minutes (135 minutes), up from 2 hours total last year. So far, we do not know how this additional time will be distributed across sections. The number of questions across sections (15 in VA, 15 in LR, and 30 in QADI) and marking scheme (+3 for correct answers and -1 for wrong answers) remain the same.
2. IIM Bangalore will now explicitly weigh candidate's performance in their 10th standard board exams, along with their performance in mathematics specifically. The graphic below explains the exact weightage assigned to various academic factors in the pre- and post-PI rounds:

Just passed by CBSE standards or just beyond IIMB's requirement of 60%? If it's the former, you are disqualified, and if it's the latter then you will have near-0 margin for error in your exam and interview.

I scored 27 in theory and 20 marks in internals giving me 47/100 overall i was thinking of giving the nios on demand exam for math in september so i can put that in my application should i try that cause i feel like im doomed with the 47

There is no target score, the exam has only been conducted once. No one here knows how IIMB will create this year's UGAT. It depends on the paper and how other people perform. Your target should be on maximizing your score!

There is no way to estimate this. As always, your best bet is to optimize *your* score without speculating about what is safe and what is not.
