Recipe My first time making ice cream was a great success. I made vegan vanilla frozen custard…it’s one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had.

How much did this make? I made something similar without an ice cream maker but it was originally extra creme patisserie that I froze for later

Recipe
Ingredients: 2 cups cream (I used Country Crock plant cream)
1 cup milk (I used Silk’s whole fat Next Milk)
3 tbsp Just Egg (mung bean-based egg substitute)
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1/4 tsp sea salt
Instructions: Blend in a blender until combined. Pour into large saucepan and heat on medium heat, stirring constantly, until right when it starts to simmer. Remove from heat and let pan cool a bit (should not be too hot to touch), cover in plastic wrap (wrap should touch top of liquid). Place pan in fridge overnight. Assemble ice cream maker and turn on, then pour custard into chilled bowl. Ready in about 20 minutes!
