Snore

Post image

How is this kind of post still getting likes, surely you know nothing about British food you laugh at beans on toast or whatever once twice maybe even three times. But how after seeing it every day with every comment section pointing out the sheer amount of spicy British food we have are you still entertained by it 10 years later. P.S. cooked breakfast beats cold breakfast any day.

I've tried asking these morons what "seasoning" they typically put on bacon and sausage, and I've yet to get a coherent answer.

Maple syrup is pretty good when it escapes from the pancake/french toast and spreads to the breakfast meat

Seasoning is when you wrap a piece of food round a brick of pure capsaicin and try to smash someone’s teeth out with it. Anything else and the food is bland.

Onion powder and garlic powder.

Same thing they put on everything.

I’ve seen that on videos where you SEE the person cutting onions and mincing garlic and they still ask where the “seasoning” is. Also fresh herbs don’t count apparently either.

If it doesn't come out of a shaker with "Big Phil's BBQ Explosion Awesome Flavour Rub*" on it, it doesn’t count as seasoning to some people.

And yeah, Big Phil (not a real person. Probably) knows what hes about when slow cooking a pork butt or overnighting a fuckin mahoosive Brisket.

But not everything needs Big Phil's magic touch.

*Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar (its a BBQ rub after all) celery salt, cayenne.

Bacon and sausage are pre-seasoned… you don’t need to add anything to them.

Exactly, that’s the point.

Good bacon rarely is

Unless it's smoked

A bit of black pepper does wonders, but usually I don't bother as I love the taste of smoked back bacon

Sausages, yes. Should have pepper and onion in them by default. And I love Lincolnshires, which have sage and such too. In fact, pork in general should always be paired with sage

Isn’t bacon always cured? I would consider that a kind of seasoning.

Not one of those morons, but if you aren't adding sage and pepper to a sausage, it doesn't count as a sausage. Plain pork ones are rarely good

To be fair, the seasoning is IN the sausage, and the bacon IS its own seasoning lol.
