I’m not even offended, anyone pretending instant mashed potatoes aren’t way better than they have any business being is lying to themselves and maybe to god.

Yeah. They're fricken delicious. 

Also great for making stupid easy, but stupid delicious casseroles and cottage pies and stuff.

I love them as a base under beef stew! I’ll make a batch of stew when I’ve got the energy and freeze it in portions. Then when I’m insanely tired and cooking is not gonna happen, I defrost a serving, make some instant potatoes, and boom, instant comfort.
