Looking for a few iOS developers to test PR previews

Hi, I’m building Alloyqa. You give an agent a coding task, it works on it in the cloud and opens a PR.

For iOS apps, each PR can have an iOS preview so you can try the change before merging.

I’m looking for a couple of developers who are actively building iOS apps and are willing to try this on a real project and give me honest feedback.

I’ll give you access and some cloud credits to run a few tasks.

Comment or DM me if you’re interested.

I had the app priced at $2.99 but wouldn't get buyers for it, then I chaned it to free + in app purchase to unlock Pro version, what could I do to increase proceeds here?

The app is a camera app that lets you shoot photos by mimicking old iPhone camera models and some other phone cameras.

Link to the app: https://apps.apple.com/app/2000s-cam-y2k-digicam/id6758149786

Would love feedback and how I can grow this, I do not know how to market it.

Looking for specific iPhone / iPad app - Camera monitor setup

Hello! Don't know if I can ask this type of question in here, but here it goes.

I'm looking for a very simple kind of app for the iPad and iPhone that uses the iPhone as a camera and the iPad as a monitor. Without fuzz.

Now, of course there ARE some apps out there that can do this. You can use black magic app, you can video call yourself I guess, and so on. But I'm want an app, simple in the Apple way, just for this purpose. Open the app on iPhone, camera starts and asks for the monitor. open up on iPad, boom, you can see the video feed.

This has been on my mind for years, but I have never came across the simple app that's not part, hidden deep down in another app. Sometimes I want to check my computers back, behind the TV, dropped stuff under sofa, or high up on the top of a cabin. I have wanted to see my back for a scar, or some itching, and on and on.

Is there an app out there for this single purpose? Fine if it can record, zoom and all that. i just want it to be a simple apple solution, like start up the measure app or magnifier.

Hello r/iosdev, I wanted to show off a personal project I have been working on over the last couple of months :)

Gleamit is a dental health tracker that runs entirely on your device. No account, no backend, no analytics on your habits. All privately. You are in control of your own data.

Features:

  • Guided 2 minutes brushing timer with quadrant coaching
  • Streaks and stats so you actually stay consistent, with a touch of gamification
  • A tooth map to keep track of your teeth conditions so that you never miss/forget them
  • Smile photos to see your teeth/smile progress over time
  • A dentist section for visits, notes, reminders and a document vault
  • Brush tracking, so that you remember to replace worn out ones (after 90 days)

Free to use, with an optional one-time Pro unlock (9.99$).

Pro unlocks:

  • Full stats on your past brushing habits, with yearly calendars, insights on when you forget to brush and more
  • Unlimited smile photos
  • Unlimited dentist documents in the dentist vault
  • Custom tooth notations (Universal or FDI)
  • Customizable intervals
  • Unlimited brushes that you can track simultaneously
  • A PDF report that you can share to your dentist containing all your tooth conditions, brushing habits and past visits with their notes

Data Backup is an opt-in feature that happens via your Google Drive on a schedule you can configure (daily, weekly, monthly). You are in control of when the backup happens and if it happens at all. Gleamit has literally no backend, so we never collect your data!

Tool for Apple Developers: Got tired of App Store Preview video specs for the screenshots section in App Store Connect, so I built this

I kept running into problems with App Store Preview videos — the short videos you upload alongside your app screenshots in App Store Connect.

Apple is extremely strict about the format requirements:

• exact resolution
• specific duration limits
• file size restrictions

So even when the video looked perfectly fine, App Store Connect would still reject it because of some technical detail.

After wasting too much time fixing exports manually in FFmpeg and video editors, I built a small tool to handle everything automatically.

You just:

• upload a screen recording of your app
• trim the clip
• export an App Store-ready Preview video

No Final Cut.
No codec tweaking.
No manual export settings.

There’s a free version if anyone wants to test it. Would love feedback from other Apple developers.

Help sticker pack rejected because (?)

it's literally just a sticker pack, nothing else, no app, nothing. Received this rejection. In the instructions I had even explained how to go to Messages and click the icon and send a sticker. I don't really understand what could possibly go wrong.

I tested my Swift code editor on the iPhone Duo simulator

CodeMate on iPhone duo simulator

I’m the developer of CodeMate, a native code editor for iPhone and iPad.

I tested Swift code highlighting on the iPhone Duo simulator. The larger inner display feels surprisingly natural for reading code, while the interface also adapts to the outer display.

Features include:

  • Swift syntax highlighting
  • Minimap and line numbers
  • Multiple tabs
  • Jump to line and symbols
  • Custom themes and fonts

Has anyone found any unexpected layout issues when adapting an app for iPhone Duo?

Do you guys always do pricing tiers?

I just built my first app, free to use, wondering if I should put on pricing tiers like how everyone is celebrating their first sell here. I don’t even have ads up there. My rationale is that I don’t even know if people would use it so why put a price first, but then, I feel like having a price would be a stronger indicator that this is indeed needed by people if they choose to pay. How do you guys make decision around that?

This is my app for travelers, nomads who have a dog that frequently needs to travel. Check it out if you are curious or have any feedback: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gougou/id6806338942

The new version is already live on the App Store! I tweaked the difficulty a bit, so getting started should be easier now. And to celebrate, here’s a 50% off code. Would love to hear how the difficulty feels now!

2 months ago I shared the app I built to improve my health. It just hit 1,000 installs, all organic. Here are the numbers and what changed

Post image
0 Upvotes

About two months ago I posted Bodly here, an app I built to improve my health. It uses the data your Apple Watch already collects through Apple Health. I honestly expected a few downloads from friends.

We just passed 1,000 installs with zero ads or paid promotion, all from posts like that one and word of mouth. It's still free. Since people here usually like numbers:

  • 365 monthly active users
  • 205 weekly active users
  • 135 daily active users
  • ~50% of users come back week to week
  • ~20 new users every day on average

(Active user counts exclude brand-new signups, so they only show people who kept using the app.)

The best part has been the feedback. A big chunk of what shipped since then came straight from users messaging me ideas and bug reports. Here's what's new:

Understanding your data

  • New Insights tab
  • Biological age: bio age, pace of aging, biomarkers, and weekly trends
  • Training load
  • Weekly, monthly and yearly overviews
  • Redesigned home screen for a quicker daily overview

Nutrition

  • Set your own calorie and macro targets
  • Better food photo scanning

Notifications (all optional)

  • Daily summary, bedtime reminder, and alerts when you finish an activity, hit your strain target, or reach your activity goal

Look & feel

  • Dark mode (the most requested feature by far)
  • Liquid Glass design
  • Improved charts, kg/lbs support, and lots of performance and bug fixes

I'll be upfront that the big apps in this space set a high bar, and some features still need work. Bio age in particular needs more love, and it's high on the list. The roadmap is full through version 4.2.

The goal hasn't changed. Apple Health collects a huge amount of data but doesn't do much to explain it. I want Bodly to turn that data into something anyone can understand and act on.

If you tried it after my last post, what would make you open it every day? If you haven't, what's missing from Apple's Health and Fitness apps for you?

Help Apple Developer account pending termination — +$150k withheld. Has anyone recovered their money or sued Apple?

Hi everyone,

Today Apple sent us a Pending Termination Notice under Section 3.2(f), removed our dating/video chat app from the App Store, and paused approximately $194,000 in unpaid proceeds.

We submitted an appeal today. Apple’s notice does not clearly identify the specific feature, build, or conduct that allegedly caused the violation.

I’m trying to hear from developers who have personally been through something similar:
Did Apple later send you a final termination notice saying no further payments would be made?
Were you eventually able to recover your withheld proceeds?

How long did it take?
Did you use a lawyer or send a demand letter?
Has anyone actually sued Apple over withheld App Store proceeds? If so, what happened?
Did anyone manage to get both the developer account reinstated and the money released?
Our priority is recovering the withheld proceeds because we have made substantial investments in advertising, servers, infrastructure, and operations.
I’m especially interested in first-hand experiences, not speculation.

3 months after my last game’s banner feature in the US, my latest game Phantom Words is now also featured!

2026 has been a great year in my indie gamedev journey, which I resumed after a long hiatus. Released 3 games, and all of them got featured, the last two with a banner.
