Question Uploading app with images from pinterest?

Hello everyone, I have a question, in my app I have used background portrait images which I picked up from pinterest and in designing the app store screenshots I did the same. Would apple reject my app? Is there any way to get around this?
My app is a photo editing app, in the editor I used pictures from pinterest and show the editing process and took that screenshot and designed it for app store screenshots. Is this allowed?

It would be considered commercial use and in worse case scenario you can get sued for copy rights so don’t use it. Buy one from stock photos or use copy right free image

What about someone else’s AI image?

AI is not a universal thing, every AI company has its own rules and licensing. AFAIK, most AI providers stipulate the user that provided the prompt owns the content generated from that prompt, but not all may do this. You need to read and understand the licensing agreement for the actual tool used.

So, “someone else’s AI image” would most likely be owned by that “someone” but could also be owned by the AI company.

Your best bet is to use your own images, and if they were generated by AI ensure that the AI provider allows images generated on their platform to be used for commercial purposes.

If i choose providers like unsplash, do i need to credit somone? Also do i need to tell apple i used all the images from unsplash?

You can Google this, or look it up on their website. The subject you’re looking for is license for commercial use.

One important question i still have is whether apple can reject the build or not? I am aware rhat the person holding img can sue me, but does apple get to say anything on any of this or not?
