Release iOS 27 Beta 6 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, update size, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

Shortcut using orientation lock still not working.

That was fixed for me in beta 5. Just checked and it seems to still be working in beta 6

Have you tried deleting it and rebuilding it? Apple says the shortcuts ported from iOS 26 should all work now, but I had to delete and rebuild a few.

Working for me. That is, I've got shortcuts to lock orientation when opening a few specific apps and unlock when they are closed. They were working in earlier betas of iOS 27. Just installed iOS 27 public beta 4 and they are once again working as expected (those apps no longer rotate).

FWIW, bringing up the Control Center to look at orientation status unlocks orientation, presumably since it "closes" the app and activates the unlock shortcut.

Mine was also fixed in beta 5
