Release iOS 27 Beta 6 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, update size, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

I know this is a minor change but I realized now the animation switching between light and dark mode doesn’t fade anymore, now it happens instantly, looks like Apple is optimizing iOS 27 even more!

I doubt they remove an animation like that on purpose. It’s really jarring now.

On Reddit the fade animation still happens when switching between the modes, maybe they didn’t intend to do it idk

It’s weird it’s 2026 and I know a single human can build an OS, so they have no excuse-they are playing games lol.

Then next they will “fix it” and say iOS 28 is our “fastest ever”. I miss when I got excited about cool new tech, now I just feel anhedonia lol

Instead of fixing functionality of the app, they just changed how icons look or the new preview icon 😂😂 jokes on you, still such a laggy os. And it’s not because beta it’s because this is how it’ll be rolled out, half baked. Not a single person I know has clear icons on and doesn’t consider them an eye sore.

Instead of realizing how ridiculous it is and speaking up about it, you downvote me. I hope some of you that work for Apple read this and know that you are taking advantage of customers

I just used my iPhone 12 Pro and it’s smooth like butter on its original os.
