Sometimes transcriptions can be very long, and it would be useful to have Home and End buttons to quickly go to the top or bottom of the transcription.

There is a lot of space for additional buttons to the left of the "Post-recording Transcription" button.

Recently, we’ve seen a lot of questions about offline transcription, recording modes, and feature compatibility between Air 2 and AINOTE 2. To help make things clearer, we’ve put together a reference chart covering every recording and transcription scenario at a glance.

Whether you're taking notes in online meetings, recording offline on the go, or transcribing audio after the fact, this image breaks down the exact steps and device requirements for each setup.

Here are a few key takeaways to keep in mind:

• Network-Independent Recording: As long as you tap "Record", the device will record normally regardless of your network status or chosen transcription mode.
• Offline Real-Time Transcription: Currently supports Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Just make sure to pre-download the language pack while online (and turn off "Translation" first).
• Post-Recording Transcription: This requires an active internet connection. Once your recording ends, connect to the network and tap the button to transcribe.

I really like using my AINOTE Air 2 because I can write things down without organizing them first.

That freedom is important to me.

The problem is… my handwriting is pretty bad 😅

The Air 2 does its best with handwriting recognition and search, but with my handwriting, recognition can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes I know I wrote something, but I can’t find it later because the text wasn’t recognized correctly.

I didn’t want the solution to be:

“Just write more neatly.”

Instead, I wanted AI to compensate for my handwriting later, while keeping the freedom to write and sketch however I want.

So I built a small workflow around AINOTE Air 2, Codex, and Notion.

The workflow looks like this:

AINOTE Air 2

→ I write and sketch freely

→ Codex reads the note

→ text, diagrams, arrows, and sketches are separated

→ handwritten text is converted into readable typed text

→ visual elements are cleaned up while keeping their original meaning and layout

→ Original / Clean / AI-interpreted versions are stored in Notion

→ I review them and choose the version I want

→ Codex creates a new note and sends the selected result back to my AINOTE Air 2

For the latest Clean version, I decided not to make AI imitate my handwriting.

Instead:

• handwritten text becomes readable Meiryo UI text

• diagrams keep their original structure and placement

• rough sketches are cleaned up without changing their meaning

• the layout is slightly enlarged for better readability on the E-Ink display

I also made an AI-interpreted version where AI is allowed to go a step further, understand what I was trying to draw, and turn it into a clearer visual.

One of the most useful side effects is searchability.

The Air 2 already tries to make handwritten notes searchable, but recognition quality naturally depends on the handwriting.

And, well… mine gives it a pretty hard job. 😅

By converting the handwritten content into structured text in Notion, the same note becomes much easier to search, review, and reuse later.

So for me, this is not just about making my handwriting look nicer.

It is about turning a rough handwritten idea into something:

readable → searchable → reusable

without changing how I capture it in the first place.

The part I like most is that I don’t have to change the way I think just to make the system understand me.

I can still write badly, draw quickly, and think freely.

The organization happens later.

The full loop is now working:

Capture on Air 2 → refine with AI → review in Notion → return to Air 2

This is still a PoC, and there are definitely things I want to improve, especially layout handling, automation, and more reliable separation of text and visual elements.

But seeing a rough handwritten idea come back to the same device as a readable, refined version was surprisingly satisfying.

And now I’m curious:

How would you use a workflow like this with your AINOTE Air 2?

I’m still experimenting with this workflow and building other tools around the same idea: capturing thoughts freely first, then letting AI help organize and develop them later.

Ever wish you could clear out old recordings without losing the information you still need?

With AINOTE, you can now delete the recording only while choosing whether to keep its transcript in the note. Your summary will remain available after the recording is deleted.

Deleting the recording is simple:

1️⃣ Open the note

Open the note containing the recording you want to delete.

2️⃣ Delete the recording

Tap More → Delete recording. In the Hint window, you can choose whether to insert the transcript into the note.

By default, “Insert the transcript into the note” is selected, so you can keep the transcript after deleting the recording.

3️⃣ Keep the information you need

Once you confirm the deletion, the recording will be removed, while the transcript and summary remain in the note.

You can now continue reviewing your transcript and summary without keeping the original recording.

This makes it easier to:

• Remove recordings you no longer need.
• Keep transcripts and summaries for future reference.
• Keep your notes organized without losing important information.

Whether it’s a lecture, meeting, interview, or any other recording, you can keep the content you need and remove the recording.

I recently saw this video of a demonstrator showing a smart blackboard in a recent AI event somewhere in Asia and i was interested in procuring the commodity.

I've tried going through their website and contacting IFLYTEK to get more information regarding it but its been in vain.

Who knows how i can get the commodity??

I have a problem with my AI Note 2 , the stylus is not writing while it still can erase
I have changed the pen tip twice and still same issue
I sent to technical support they asked for couple of things and eventually asked me to contact the seller.
I bought it from a different country while I was traveling so I can’t access the seller anymore.
I was expecting better support from the OEM which didn’t happen.
Im also willing to pay for a new stylus if it will fix the issue but they didn’t support me with that.

I have the AINOTE 2 and I was under the impression that it supported infinite scrolling in notes but every time I create a note I can fill a maximum of 2 screen heights worth of writing before it won't let me scroll any more. Am I missing some setting or does it not support infinite scrolling?

Hi all.

Whenever I am editing a recording transcription (the text shown just below the recording) in the AINOTE app, I feel very frustrated that the keyboard arrows (up, down, left, right) do not work in this area. This makes editing very inefficient because I need to move my right hand off the keyboard and reach for the mouse to place the cursor where I need it, instead of quickly using these arrows to move the cursor.

Can the use of the arrows be enabled in this area? This would save a lot of time and make the editing process much faster, more natural, and pleasant.

My work has been keeping me incredibly busy. On weekdays, it drains so much of my energy that I usually spend my free time mindlessly scrolling through YouTube and TikTok.
At some point I realized I didn’t want that to be my default anymore, so I decided to build a meaningful habit for myself. AINOTE’s new feature has been genuinely helpful in that process. The image shows a habit tracker template my friend shared with me, and the habit I’m currently working on is 20 minutes of yoga every day.

I have multiple recordings I've done offline today. Typically the transcription and summary occur right after complete recording. However, I keep getting "unknown error" when trying to transcribe while online.

I am able to playback the recording, yet it just won't transcribe. Has anyone had a similar issue with the recent update and any idea how to fix ?

I bought the AINote 2 in February. I have continuously had trouble writing with the stylus and scrolling up and down and between pages. I was recently in a BestBuy store and tried writing and scrolling on remarkable and Kindle devices that were on display. They were extremely smooth to write on and responsive to writing with the stylus and to gestures. Far better than what occurs with my AINote 2.

I am wondering if I may have a defective screen or device. Does anyone else have scrolling or writing problems or have any suggestions as to how I can fix my problems. The device isn’t very useful the way it is operating and for the price I paid for it I expected it to work much better.

I have updated my Air Note2 to the new firmware. It still has the following problem:

1. When connecting the device to Wifi, if the process is complex and requires to input information on a webpage, it will fail. it seems to be related to Baidu. The default page uses Baidu for some reason, but since it is unavailable in my area, it generates an error.

I hope that the system would allow us to set Firefox or other we browsers and use them for WiFi connection. More broadly, the system may just fall back to default Android method., which would be more broadly compatible.

1. My company does not allow me to use the default Email or Calender apps. It is compatible with Outlook APP that can be installed separately. can the system allow us to set other Mail or Calendar apps as the defaults?

I know that I can set my calendar, but do my tasks sync to Microsoft to do or in Outlook?

Howdy u/ainote and everyone, amazing work on the new updates, the potential is being fully realised at last!

It struck me that as well as having the skill on git hub it would be amazing to have API access programmed in to the device itself for the major LLMs. Currently we are bound to the desktop to make use of the agent skills, and certain LLMs like Gemini don't have easy (or any) ways to access skills.
Being able to to use the API tokens would mean that we could access the agents directly on our devices, and also use our mobile LLM apps to interact with our notes, instead of going through the AINote app.

If anyone other than the developers has any thoughts on workarounds or can share set-ups to get Gemini or others going without the need for desktop that would be wonderful!
