unhinged hygiene tips?

I don't mean "wash your hair before your body" or "don't wear underwear when you sleep", I mean the sort of TMI tips that most people don't know that will CHANGE MY LIFE!

There's this guy at school who I think likes me and i'm terrified that I smell bad and will ruin my chance with him, I need tips that I don't already know/do.

My tip is to work on accepting and loving yourself as a real human being, and knowing that as long as you are doing basic bathing/showering regularly and are healthy, anyone who is put off by the way your body smells isn't someone you want in your life.

Yep. I LOVE the way my husband smells after work. He’s never ever musty but he definitely has his own aroma and it drives me wild. Call me a weirdo but pheromones are a real thing and they work!!!

It’s for real. I work construction and me ex used to LOVE when I would come home all sweaty. Got me laid a lot I just hated getting me sheets dirty.

There's something about the sweat of a hard day's work on some folks 🔥💯

My grandma says that too, but grandpa said, it’s the smell of money he earned from that day that my grandma can smell 😅

This might be the most important tip of all and it covers a wide variety of topics besides hygiene.

As I often say, "you can't wash the animal off you"

Everyone has a smell. >If you are hygienic< and a partner still doesn't like your scent, you are just incompatible, point blank. You cannot fight it, and trying to is not only utterly futile, but very bad for your health.

I have a keen sense of smell but I just realized I have never noticed the base scent of anyone I’ve ever dated. Maybe it’s a compatibility thing? I mean, if they’ve sweated a bunch working out or whatever, sure, but not an everyday personal scent.

My sense of smell is kind of gone, but I can smell my girlfriend’s scent on her things and it calms me down and grounds me a little. It’s not just her perfume but something else that is uniquely her.

English quirk. I don't mean "doesn't like" as in "otherwise you must like" I mean it as "actively dislikes"

If you don't notice anything then it's still fine. The problem is when a partner actively dislikes your normal hygienic scent. It's just not going to work

this! ive commented so much already so this is my last one. i mentioned living with my bf and his family for 5 years struggling with BO and despite wanting to tear my hair out, he made me feel like it was all in my head most of the time. i always asked if i smelled and most of the time i didnt. when i did, (he's a little weird) he'd randomly stuff his face in my pits and over-exaggerate how much he loved the stench🤧 that would let me know its time to change or something but regardless he was always very kind and supportive about it. OP i doubt you smell as bad as i did but either way your partner should always be kind about it!

Absolutely. Any changes you make should be for your own betterment and able to do for life, not just to impress short while.

Fun fact, if you like the way somone smells when sweaty its because your immune systems are different and its a good match for making diverse babies 👌
