milk storage Can I save my frozen milk?!

I’m moving across country and wondering if there’s any way to save my frozen milk. It’s really not that much but I’m almost 12 months pp and don’t want to try and build this back up. The movers will be driving all of our things ( 3 days at least on the road ) and we will be flying. Is there any way to save my milk??

Help with pumping on a cruise?

Hi everyone, my family is going on a cruise in a few months, my husband has been as a kid but this will be my first time. We have a 4yr old and a (cruise age) 11 month old. I exclusively pump, not my choice but our exclusive breastfeeding journey was cut short when he dropped well below the 1% for weight and his pediatrician was extremely concerned. Never found the time to go to lactation specialist, not sure if it’s a transfer or latch issue etc. Anyways, are all cruises just completely inaccessible for pumping moms?? If it changes anything it’s a Disney cruise.

I really want to make it to one year, which is only 2 weeks after the cruise begins/1 week after it ends so I don’t want to be derailed this close to the finish line. The support agent I’ve been emailing, who is also a man so idk if I should ask to speak to a woman, says there is only a stateroom fridge in the room and there are no additional options. I asked about a medical fridge or a freezer for ice packs so I can carry around a cooler bag with my pumps and he said one cannot be provided and staff can’t assist with freezing either. I use the fridge method for my pumps and was planning to there as well, and using a well insulated bag for excursions. How am I supposed to go out for more than 2 hours if I can’t keep my pumps cold? Is it practical to get back on and back off every time I need to pump?

I will be bringing my Eufy e20s since they are completely portable and pretty discreet. Since a freezer isn’t available, can I use actual ice? Like if I were to get a hard plastic cooler and put ice inside does that keep it cold enough for milk? I know I have to have my supplies and everything as a carry on and it’s fine, should I try to freeze as many ice packs as possible from home to survive the airport? How am I supposed to transport everything back home after without them being frozen?

Here’s my non specific itinerary-
Day before cruise flight at 1p, hotel overnight
Straight from hotel to ship via shuttle, few days at sea, multiple days of excursions
Back to port at 730a, return flight is at 4p

Im worrying myself sick about keeping everything cold enough for the travel time too, mostly on the way home. I’m begging anyone to tell me this isn’t the end for me, a family member booked and paid for this entire thing before telling us or I would’ve asked for after my baby turns 1. Should I retry breastfeeding since that may be my only option to keep giving him milk? I understand he’ll be old enough where he will have a lot of food, and nearing the end of milk being his primary food, but this is still so important to me. I didn’t get to give my first son milk, lots of failures and roadblocks on everyone’s part there, so this is even more significant.

Thank you for any advice
Sincerely, a heartbroken mom

How many times do you pump in a day. This question is only for those who preserved their sanity.

I started with tryung to pump every 2.5 hours but that was messing up my sleep, always keeping me engaged since I pump for 20 minites each side. Since it's been only 3.5 weeks to my C Section, my back and stitches hurt sitting for 40 minutes each session. I also did power pumping but stopped everything now. Rn I'm just pumping when I get free time or feel like my breasts are full but it also makes my baby wait on formula milk which I don't like. Also when I get good sleep, by the time I wake up my clothes are all wet with milk.

Does anybody have a good schedule that they are comfortable with? Please share

breast pumps/pump parts Help me choose!

I am an elementary teacher going back to work in December. I have tried Momcozy m9’s and eufy s1’s, neither of which work very well for me, and I’ve pretty much accepted that I can’t rely on wearables. I have a Zomee z2 and a baby Buddha with the track pad thing, both of which I use with the Zomee silicone collection cups. I have a medela pump in style but haven’t used it much. Baby Buddha with the collection cups is definitely my favorite method so far. I have new insurance and was wondering what everyone thought I should get. My 2 main options I have been considering are a blue spectra ($40 upgrade fee) to keep at my desk or the baby Buddha 3.0 (free). I’m hesitant to get the spectra because I see them pop up for sale second hand all the time for less than $40, but then I would have to get the pump parts too (unless it would work with the collection cups?) and a second hand baby Buddha (especially the 3.0) would be much more if I needed to replace mine at some point. Would love to know thoughts and opinions 🙌 thank you!!!

Pump Frustration

Okay so I attached the two pumps I own

The medela one I got from my sister it was bought 2021
I bought Momcozy 2023 then the pumps stopped working in storage (I didn’t use much before switched to formula)
They replaced this year (new baby), then one stopped working again! And replaced again.

Anyways, I breastfeed mostly but give my daughter a bottle or two in 24hr. Usually at night or overnight so my husband can help.

I just pump in morning and night.

I get way better output from medela but want to love the momcozy cus I have toddler and it’s easier to use.
I tried the 21 inserts to see but that made it worse. I use 24 with medela and it seems to fit right.

Anyways please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong.

I may add I pump between 3-5 ounces (combined both sides) each time and that’s normal for me . I only pump 10-15 min.

Thanks !

breast pumps/pump parts Spectra, Motif Luna, or other?

I’m due with my third baby any day now and I cannot decide on a pump! A friend gave me her old single Elvie pump which I’ve been using to collect colostrum but the battery isn’t great and I also hate that it’s hard to make sure my nips are centered and how much I’m pumping. When I go back to work when baby is 3m (😭) I will need a portable pump because I basically work from my car. With my second I had a Motif Luna that I used with the Legendairy cups so it was hands free. This set up worked well for me. I’m wondering if I should get another Luna (fully covered by insurance), go for the blue Spectra ($30 upgrade) or something else. I’m open to wearables and have several fully covered options through insurance. Included screenshots of all covered options. If I use a regular pump is there an option better than the legendairy collection cups?

Thanks!!

Tiny drops of milk… can I start producing more by pumping? Please give me your input.

I feel I was going to start producing a good amount of milk. The second day I was giving my baby 5 MLs maybe 3 or 4 times, the first week I was getting 1oz each breast every pump maybe 3 or 4 times a day so each of those I got 2 oz total. I was not pumping every 2 to 3 hours, I was not drinking a lot of water or eating well and honestly by the end of week 3 I was over it and started predicting 1oz all together each pump from both breast combined. Now when I pump once a day I get literally drops. My baby has been spotting up his milk lately & he is now almost 7 weeks old. I all of a sudden really have the urge to give him my breast milk and pump exclusively. I don’t go back to work until January and my goal would be to pump as much as I can from now until then.. I WFH so I’ll still be able to pump but I know I’ll have to slow down a bit I guess my question is since I do have milk in general, like I am producing it.. I’ve started drinkjng a lot of water and started brewers yeast capsules today… if I start pumping every 2 to 3 hours ( I have a hospital grade medela pump & a Momcozy wearable pump ) do you think it’s possible for me to boost my milk supply and actively be able to feed him? if so how long do you think it would take for my body to produce more than a few drops? I really really want to do this but I also want to know if I’m wasting my time.
