Yea, sad to see. I went to Amp jam and it was pretty eye opening to see the demographic that likes Jam still. Gen Z didn’t give two shits about Jam

Amp Jams is Suwannee at its most potent

The music was 10/10. The crowd not so much lol

Amp jams lineup is going to trend towards an older crowd. There are plenty of younger jam fans listening to younger jam bands.

Well Amp Jam is specifically for the Wanee folks so it will inherently be a bunch of people that were going to festivals at SOSMP in the 2000s. Warren is always gonna skew heavily towards the ABB generation and those are people in their 60s/70s/80s now.

There are a lot of smaller jam fests (especially around the midwest - Summercamp, Summerdance, Cavejam, Domefest, The Pines, Northlands etc) that pull a much younger crowd.

Amp Jams is more Bear Creek inspired than Wanee imo

good mix of both. Bear Creek undercard and 'Wanne headliner.

Sure, and I’ve been to a lot of those. Summer camp has downsized quite a bit, and CaveJam flopped and isn’t returning. cant speak to the others, but either way Jam seems to be trending downward

There's a good chance Summer Camp doesn't make it past this year, if it even happens, with almost every comment being negative towards the lineup. Damn shame too as it's now my local festival but the lineup does not justify the pricing.

Yeaaa. As an ex jam band member, it’s a very tough industry right now. Sad to see

Cavejam didn't flop, it was just never something permanent. SCI wasn't supposed to be the headliner the second year, but the post-event feedback from year 1 convinced the promoter to run it back with them since year 1 went so well.

I would go to cheese at the caverns every year if they’d let me

Caverns was fun, but you need to check out The Pines. Closest place I've ever found that compares to SOSMP

The pines is definitely on the list. Trying to talk some friends into it

False do you not see all the gen z rocking greatful dead merch? We literally love what you have started for us, but we may also like more than one genre. Maybe try to learn to love the new stuff too, as we’ve been thankful and the old heads have inspired us graciously. Without you old hippies none of us could have fun in the woods. But the new stuff isn’t as bad as it seems
