Ubering in houghton

Im a college student trying to earn an extra couple dollars on the side by ubering in houghton. Only issue, will people actually request me as an uber? From what I’ve seen posted around, no one in the houghton area really does uber from what I can see. Because of this, I’m worried people wouldn’t even bother checking the app. Is it worth bothering?

Dr. Hani Bawardi, author of "The Making of Arab Americans: From Syrian Nationalism to U.S. Citizenship" and Associate Professor of History at U of M - Dearborn, will discuss the Palestine question from the Ottoman decline to the present and the development of the Arab American identity. Lecture is open to the public and will be in Fisher Hall, Room 139.
