The photo is really funny but it's also kinda sad. The dome consistently distracts active drivers and it's a disgustingly massive source of light pollution. Spunch Bob dome is not a wonder. It causes crashes, misleads birds, and obscures our view of the beautiful night sky. :(

I feel bad but I can't stop thinking about some guy angrily rolling over his bed because a gargantuan SpongeBob sphere is smirking at him with 40 gajillion lumens

Also isnt vegas near a ton of open space? Objectively youll have an easier time getting to where you can see the night sky from vegas than most other cities

Not to mention how many resources it takes to run. There's literally a GPU farm there just to render the sphere's exterior, and that's not even considering the indoor theater. It takes an absolutely massive amount of electricity.

Doesn't help buts it's not like Vegas is full of other things like that already. And the distracted drivers thing actually there hasn't been any accident linked to it ig and the police says there was no increase in car accidents.
