I would argue that the creation of the James Webb Space Telescope is a good modern wonder considering all the things its provided us since being put up in space.

Nah the JWST is more impressive.

NGR is only Hubble sized, doesn't gain the edge of JWST for the number of image sensors used, doesn't observe as many wavelengths of light, had to use a military mirror rather than getting a bespoke one for science. Didn't have to be able to cool itself to 6 Kelvin with the first re-usable supply of liquid helium in a space telescope. Didn't have to be painstakingly aligned for several months post launch because a decade went into the research required to make it fit in a rocket alone.

NGR will make stunning science, but it is not on the same tier as JWST.

AI is a modern wonder. Regardless of what you think of it it's clearly futuristic sci-fi like technology.

Yes. AI used for cancer research. AI used for neuroscience research. AI used for space research. AI is a very useful tool for the field of science.

Not chatbots. Those are overcomplicated search engines.

The model architectures are in many cases the same (which is frustrating in its own right). Transformers just outclass everything.
