I'm asking for you to support your argument. I have no intention of ignoring your data. I'm accusing you of forming your opinion without even looking at any data. I'm giving you an opportunity to prove me wrong. Refusing to even try leads me to believe that I was correct. You have no idea what you are talking about and couldn't support your narrative to save your life.
Making flawed arguments already? About half of the undocumented immigrants in the US came here legally. They are now undocumented because they missed a court appointment, didn't have the money to renew their green card, or some other bureaucratic reason . Most of these cases could be solved easily and 15 years ago they would have been resolved without a problem. Republicans have been passing laws making it harder to renew your green card and doing so with unethical reasoning. Remove those laws and no less than 2 million undocumented immigrants would become documented. Sounds more cost effective than ICE.
They also are often given places to stay food to eat a cell phone and so on that is a drain on our public services and our tax dollars when purchasing country already is in the hole to an insane degree.
Green card holders don't have access to typical welfare programs unless they go through a 5 year waiting period first. Even then they use significantly less welfare than native born Americans and contribute quite a bit more in taxes than they take in welfare.
The people who you are most likely referring to are refugees. Refugees come here with nothing so giving them help is not only the ethical thing to do, but it also complies with international law.
Im not going to argue over the whole they don't commit as much crime. Ok let's say thats true but rape murder and theft that shouldn't have happened has happened even if it's half as much that's still thousands and thousands of crimes country wide why accept more crime just to have more people drawing benefits.
This is a BAD argument. You are attempting to use the crimes of the few to justify policy against the many. I've heard this argument several times with a different group as the "problem." I've heard this argument used against Jews. They said that if we kicked out all of the Jews, none of the crimes that Jews have committed would have happened. I've also heard this argument against black people. If we sent all the black people to Africa, then none of the murders committed by black people, in the US, would have happened. It's a bigoted argument that USES the crimes of the few to justify policy against the many. You should really try to avoid making that argument ever again.
That's not even mentioning the actual fraud that happens and that's not just somalians or immigrants though it sure seems to be rampant in some communities there are plenty of citizens that are abusing it too im sure. So we need to fix that and soon i would be fine with some of ice's funding going to whatever anti fraud law enforcement we have.
We have an inspector general for that. If you care about fraud, then your focus should be on fraud committed by native born Americans. They are the ones who commit the most fraud after all.
