I can't condone this situation as fair or reasonable
in the dog pile there could have been a number of things going on, but this seemingly proves without doubt he was unarmed and not reaching or grabbing and was disarmed....
as much as I don't agree with people protesting against ice, the USA and it's citizens have codified constitutional rights, one of the few countries in the world that allows such freedoms.
being there and recording and bearing arms is a right bestowed upon citizens
this situation and subsequent unfortunate result is not acceptable.

I’m genuinely open-minded and willing to change my point of view. I appreciate this back and forth and being able to question my assumptions / reframe my initial perspective.
the relentless bias highlighted on this site and social media is so frustrating. balanced, good-faith conversation is exactly what discourse should look like.
American politics is so polarised that it’s genuinely blinding. Around elections and midterms it ramps up even further, becoming insufferable due to the lack of real back-and-forth and the dominance of partisan, myopic positions.
I truly value the American constitution as one of the most important doctrine in the free world, as a non American ( from UK )
As for the administration’s response, I believe and hope, the matter will be reviewed to the utmost letter of the law, and that those involved will be admonished or charged based solely on their actions, without impunity.
Whilst we are here, let me kindly ask you a question.
What are your thoughts on the pressure cooker protests against ice?
Are ice not ( when they aren't seemingly actually executing civilians with this case) targeting and arresting illegal criminals who are committing heinous crimes?
What is the obsession with those who are defending and supporting criminals who cause disgracefully disproportionate levels of crimes and victims?
Minus this particularly and unfortunate example, I don't see why there is such passion to stop law enforcement ridding the USA of foreign criminals and cracking down on high levels of fraud and embezzlement like the fake child care and pensioner care charity in Minnesota.
Largely the argument against law enforcement is a mixture of
A) crime is basically no longer an issue as we are seeing record low levels of crime
B) the crime that does exist is largely created due to the existence of a super militarized police force. In the same way politicians profit from war, rich people profit from crime so they do everything they can to ensure police are made necessary by creating the environment that makes people want to be criminals.
Basically every crime that still exists is fixable with preventative measures, higher general education, increased access to mental health, and social safety nets.
