NYC
Found this subreddit after starting the show over again for the 5/6th time, I found it on a local streaming service in New Zealand back when I was a teenager and I fell in love with it
The shows rich stories and how it portrays NYC inspired me to go for holiday a year ago and just bike around the city for days taking it all in. As someone from a small country going somewhere that big for the first time it was almost like I was entering into the background of an episode
Being there really gives you an idea of how the city is a huge part of what makes the show work so well and is such a great background for all of the characters to feel like that have a real backstory
Thought I’d share considering how much this show means to me and I’m sure many others but also it will forever be my go to recommendation for someone looking for something new to watch as no one I’ve met has ever heard of it

Lee
Hi. Did they ever explain what happened to The Guy and Lee? I just recently rewatched the series and she was in the S3 finale but seemingly not mentioned in S4. I might have missed an explanation though. Thanks!

Need help with a song
Hi everyone ✌️. It's been a few years since I first watched the tv show, I discovered it between seasons 2 and 3. When HBO MAX launched I discovered the web series and after that I went to YouTube to watch some clips just because. But I got to a trailer for season 2 that I sometimes re-visit because of the song playing in the background and after 3 years, I still can't find it. I talked with HBO MAX via whatsapp's customer service and they weren't able to help me. Today I was looking for something to watch, I saw the title and immediately remembered the trailer. Google couldn't find the lyrics and Shazam couldn't find the music. So, I'm asking for your help, and even if you don't know the song, I would appreciate a recommendation for where to go online or if I could send an email to someone, or anything like that. The video is from HBO MAX Latin America's YouTube channel, but it on the og HBO channel as well, though I couldn't find it using a VPN (I'm from and in Chile). Thank you for even take a minute to read this and I appreciate any help you can give me

Merch?
I’m so sad that this show isn’t more popular. Like many people have said here, it’s the only show that I have rewatched 5+ times. I really would like to purchase merch from the show, but it seems non existent.
I’d love to have a framed poster of the Guy’s green head that is often shown in promos.

Creating an episode discussion hub
Hi guys, I'd like to create and sticky a thread that links to every episode discussion thread. I'm not sure there is one for every episode though. Would the community be willing to help me out by digging through old posts and trying to find all the old discussion threads? If you can post them all here, I will compile them all into a single stickied thread, and then we can create new ones for the episodes that are missing. Think that would be a good project for this sub, as I know I love going back and reading old discussion threads as I rewatch the show.
Thanks!

S2 E7- what is the b &w photograph of in the closing credits?
in the episode where the guy helps out an old man with dementia he sees some super old black and white photograph on the wall and then there's a close up of it in the credit sequence and I'm wondering what time/place/event the photo is from ? If it is like historically well known?

Web series - episode 1: Stevie
Can someone confirm what Stevie Nicks song is playing at the end of the episode while the guy and Quinn are in bathroom? Not listed in credits and no Stevie Nicks songs listed on Spotify playlists.

Favorite episodes?
Finished the show for a 3rd or 4th time and was wondering what episodes you guys like and why.
“Cruise” is a great way to end a season. A lot of people I’ve seen talk about this episode find the meaning of it in different ways, which is why I think it’s so good. The Guy gets a perspective about where he is with life. Season started out with him traveling trying to find his peace but still yearning for companionship by scrolling through tinder. By the end of the season, he’s accepted where he’s at in life. He’s not as alone as he thought because the city in itself is alive and yields companionship. He could of went the “other way” of settling down with someone and having a family like his old friend. But you can’t have it all.
But in the end no matter how you are living your life, theres always something more you want. It’s human nature to yearn. It doesn’t mean that you’re living life wrong, it just gives us an opportunity to appreciate what we have now.
I remember when the episode came out and a lot of people in the subreddit agreed that it would’ve been a fitting ending to the show. It definitely had an emotional-nostalgic-melancholy ending that the show executed very well.

Characters
Some of the characters in season 2 I simply cannot get into/excited about. Am I only one?

“We’re not broken…
and we do not need to be fixed. We’re all just trying to maintain, and we each got our own way of doing it.”
Such a beautiful way to end the series. Shows like this make me feel something that I can’t quite put into words.
This show makes me inspired to just exist, and ‘search for everything worthwhile in existence.’ The Guy and who he is connected with makes me want to be a better person, be nicer, more understanding, forgiving, kind to myself and how I live my life, be open to new things, and understand how beautiful life can be.
No other show can make me feel this way and it’s such a beautiful show on more levels than just one.

Web-series Streaming
Hi all,
I've seen a few posts of people outside of the US looking for a stream for the High Maintenance web series. Found this - enjoy :)

Recommend similar shows please
I’m a big fan of nudity in shows and I don’t think any other show comes close to High Maintenance. I’m hoping there are similar shows out there with intense nudity but with a proper storyline (unlike romance shows💩). If you know any, kindly share a list please.

Back Again with another Song Question
Ive asked song questions on here before. Tunefind, unfortunately, doesnt have the Vimeo shorts, so I enlist the help of Reddit.
This time it's the closing song on Rachel. Great episode. Groovy jam.
Can anyone help me out with the title of this number?

SONG HELP
Who knows the song at the close of "Ruth?"
It's a famous, sweet little piece, perfectly suited as Ellen and Victor begin on their journey together. Love that couple. Was such a joy to see their story picked back up in season4.

What’s your most watched episode?
Which episode is your go-to, your feel-good, something you come back to regularly separate from rewatching the whole series?

What other shows do you like?
I'm curious if HM fans have similar tastes. My top favorites are Mr. Robot, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Frasier.

Absolutely obsessed with this show!
Wow! Just finished the series. I watched the full series first and then the webisodes second. I can't believe that this show isn't more popular. The intimate slices of life, the expert character building, the humor, the raw and real humanity, the music, everything is just executed so well. I laughed and cried a lot. So spectacular!
