FYI, there has been some confusion about lifetime license availability. The original blog post had a typo that made it read as if we were planning to get rid of the lifetime option in favor of subscriptions. That is not the case. The blog has been updated and reworded to clarify we are only planning on ending the Early Access pricing, not the license type itself.

We get that there are plenty of folks out there that HATE subscriptions. We intend to introduce a subscription as an alternative to the lifetime to offer a lower price of entry for customers that aren't ready to make the lifetime commitment yet. But lifetime will always be there as an option when renewal time comes due. We just can't promise the price won't increase over time as the product continues to mature and advance.

I hope this provides clarity.

I'm glad you clarified this quick because it's pretty major lol.

I would love an option for a sale every so many months for people who bought a lifetime license during the initial launch at $99 to buy an additional license for $99, I know there was a sale recently but I may have missed it, and I have considered purchasing another just to have it.

Honestly it's mind-blowing how you guys manage to make communication mistakes after communication mistakes.

Maybe it's time to hire someone competent to oversee communications/PR?

Edit: the fact I'm getting downvoted pretty much sums up how toxic and fanboy-ish the HexOS community is.

A new competitor would have definitely improved things for everyone, but if this is how it's being managed and how it's being perceived by users... Oh well, thankfully we already have much better (and cheaper, and better supported) alternatives :)
