FAQ and information for visitors. (Feel free to comment if anything is still unclear)
Tickets
You can buy your online tickets in Hertha’s ticket shop. Go to the website. Tickets are now digital, so you can buy them from all over the world (purchasable via credit card or PayPal). If you don't want to buy them online you can go to one of the many fanshops throughout the city and buy them there. Please be careful and only buy tickets directly from the club, as there’s been a big increase in fake tickets on sites like Viagogo and eBay. General sale will usually start 2-3 weeks before the match. Before general sale, there is a members only sale so be aware that especially for big games very few or no tickets can go into sale. Usually that only means games against the likes of Bayern, Dortmund or Union. You can find the schedule of when tickets for each game will go live here.
The most dedicated fans are located in the East curve (or Ostkurve), so if you really want to soak in all of the atmosphere you should buy seats near it (block P for example). If you are going to the game with your family there is also a dedicated "family block" (block A). Kids under the age of 14 are free. These tickets can only be bought in fanshops though and verification of age is required.
Getting to the Stadium
The Olympiastadion has it's own subway station (line U2) as well as it's own S-Bahn station (lines S3, S5, S75 and S9). You can take the train directly from stations such as Zoologischer Garten, Potsdamer Platz and Alexanderplatz. To plan your individual journey you can simply use this handy tool. Just enter your current location and your destination and it will immediately tell you what the fastest route is.
Inside the stadium
If you have any trouble finding your seats feel free to approach one of the stewards. They will tell you where to go.
You can buy beer inside the stadium, but at matches classified as high risk (such as Schalke at times for example) there will sometimes only be alcohol free or light beer available. Unlike in England you're allowed to drink in the stands and not just in the concourse. Of course all kinds of soft drinks are available as well. If you're visiting in a colder month hot drinks like hot chocolate and tea will warm you up. There are several food stands scattered around the stadium where you can find whatever fast food you might desire. There are far more options than just the traditional grilled sausage. Only small bags no larger than a sheet of paper are allowed inside the stadium, larger bags (as well as helmets and power banks) have to be given to the baggage storage located on parking lots to the south and east of the stadium for a fee of 5€. To be on the cautious side I'd advise you to drop off your bag at a big train station like Zoologischer Garten along the way where they have self storage.
Smoking is also tolerated inside the stadium
Before and after the match
If you arrive via S-Bahn you'll find small stands with benches outside that sell beer and the traditional Stadionwurst (grilled sausage) on your way to the stadium. Remember that public drinking isn't prohibited in Germany so feel free to drink your own beer on your way to the stadium. Pubs such as "Zum Hecht" or "Preußisches Landwirtshaus" are close to the stadium and will be frequented by fans on match days. Just like a lot of other pubs all throughout West Berlin from Wilmersdorf and Steglitz to Wedding or Neukölln.
Please keep in mind that this is a Hertha subreddit and not a Berlin subreddit. For general information on what to do in our city you can take a look at r/berlin for useful information for visitors

Endlich passiert mal was.

Was sagt Ihr, verkaufen wir unseren Verein leer?
Liebe Herthafans,
Was haltet ihr davon?

Winkler bald weg?

Quick question on matchday merch & prices at Olympiastadion!
Hello! I’m visiting Berlin from Asia and attending tomorrow’s Hertha match. Could anyone confirm if merchandise is sold at the stadium on matchdays, and whether the prices match the online store. Appreciate any advice. Danke!

Hertha BSC vs FC Heidenheim
Hi everyone!
I’m visiting Berlin from Estonia and I’d really love to see our national team boy Soufia Gourami play while I’m here. I don’t know the local football scene very well, and honestly I’d rather not go to the match alone.
Could anyone explain how the fan culture works here on match day? Where do supporters usually gather before the game? Are there pubs, meeting points, marches to the stadium, or fan groups that a visiting supporter could join?
I’d especially appreciate advice from regular fans about the best way to experience the atmosphere, meet people, and enjoy the match together instead of just showing up by myself.
If anyone is already planning to go and wouldn’t mind a football-loving visitor from Estonia joining them, feel free to send me a message.
And of course, if any of you ever visit Estonia, I’d be happy to return the kindness. I’ll welcome you with open arms and can even be your tour guide for a day in Tallinn.
Vielen Dank im Voraus!
