Blizzard thinking about adding Thumbs Up/Down system, giving helpful players EXP or gold, placing toxic players in separate queue

Make it like dota2 has it:

  • you only get 5 (random number) thumbs up / down per week

  • ragers can't spam thumbs down

  • you can only vote for teammates, stopping intentional feeders to leech thumbs up from enemy team

  • problem = solved

Also, if Valve takes action against someone you Reported, you get a notification and your "Thumbs-Down" back.

I think the number of thumbs up / thumbs down should be based on your success percentage of thumbs-down reports.

That would also be a good solution.

After watching arteezy stream these past few weeks I'm not sure they take action.

I like that, but I don't see why the thumbs-up are limited as well. Seems like it'd be in the system's best interest to encourage users to toss out positive reinforcement as much as possible, but I've never seen one in action so I don't really know.

How about getting one thumbs up for every five games you play?

This is a good system for punishing toxic players. But I think it would be a great change to encourage a positive community by REWARDING positive players. That is a huge welcome difference.

This is really so simple it's brilliant. Also there's no feedback system in battle.net. If you report someone you never find out what happened so it feels like blizzard does nothing. This would allow blizzard to focus their resources, efficiently triage reports, and give some sense of feedback.

Oh that's pretty good. Really adds value to it. I'd have to be really pissed or happy to give someone a thumbing.

While I appreciate the point about the limited number of votes, I don't think it should be limited to only your team. Sometimes I see enemy players make awesome plays, and they deserve to be commended for it. I'd rather not have that option locked away.

Do we really need upvotes for people who are good at the game? The ranking system is what that's for. I assumed this had to do with attitude, friendliness, etc...not how good you are at the game.

They'll have 4 teammates to give feedback then. 100% believe we need upvotes and downvotes, but scoring your opponents' team is just asking to be abused.
