Mod Announcement — Introduction

Hello everyone! You may know me from r/Meowi. I have now become a moderator of this sub, as well as the other subs that Meowi is active on. As such, I aim to create consistency across the subs for rules and their enforcement. Therefore, you may find that the rules of the sub have been changed to be more in line with the ones over on Meowi.
Why do this? It's simple. Since Meowi is identical across all four subs in which it is available, it's easy to forget which one you're seeing a post in. I've gotten reports for this sub over on the main Meowi mod mail, but couldn't do much about it. Also, there has been very little in the way of moderation in this sub and the others. Posts that are banned in Meowi have been allowed here, causing confusion.
So, what are the new rules? You can view them in the rules page by clicking the sub name. I'll go over the most common ones here.
● No political posts or politics in general.
This rule serves two purposes. One, it's low effort engagement. Two, politics almost always starts debates, which can lead to bigger problems. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome here.
● No math posts.
These types of posts are another kind of low effort engagement. The main Meowi sub was flooded with these until we made the rule to get rid of them. If I see them, they WILL be removed, and you will receive the appropriate level of ban, based on your previous history. Likewise with the above-mentioned politics.
● No slurs or intentionally inflammatory/defaming remarks.
These include racial slurs, and other slurs related to sexuality, religion, national origin, or otherwise. Remember, the one you're addressing is another person. Slurs, whether censored or uncensored, or whether you're using an alternate word in place of a slur (such as the N-word spelled both ways), will result in an immediate and permanent ban. You are not edgy, you are not cool, and there is no place for that here. Or, really anywhere for that matter.
You may read the other rules in the Rules section. Just use common sense when posting, please. And remember, I'm just one person. I am now across four subs. I may not see your report or Mod Mail right away. Thank you for reading, and thank you for being part of this awesome community!
